Canada 150

Laurie Harvey

This exhibit explores Canada through a pop-culture eye, focusing on famous people (actors, actresses, scientists, inventors, etc.), on the food that is only available or made in Canada and fun and weird and, sometimes, unknown facts about Canada.

The Canada 150 Exhibit was on display until the end of October 2017.

A History of Policing, Investigation, and Forensic Techniques in Airdrie.

This exhibit included a look at forensic art and a study of the ‘CSI Effect”, thanks to Carrie Allen – a forensic medical illustrator.

Nose Creek Valley Museum acknowledges that our work takes place within the historical and contemporary Indigenous lands, and is situated on Treaty 7, the traditional lands of the Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, Stoney Nakoda, and Tsuut’ina peoples. We also respectfully acknowledge that we serve the homelands of the Métis Nation, Districts 4 and 5. We recognize the enduring presence and stewardship of Indigenous peoples on this land, which we all share, celebrate, and care for. By making this acknowledgement, we hope to illustrate our commitment to reconciliation.
